happy birthday girl

birthdays stress me out.  every year this happens.  thankgiving, everyone gets sick, christmas shopping, a snow storm, travelling, and new years.  i sigh with relief for surviving the insanity of december, and then realize i have two weeks to plan a birthday party.  it's a bad scene.  so yea.  next year will be different.

but really?  it's about impossible to ruin a birthday party for a four year old.  sugar and kids.  all you need.  no secret recipe there!  this year we headed to a local dance studio.  i got her a hot pink leotard, a cute pair of tights, and put her hair in a bun for the first time.  she and her friends danced off some steam, and we parents enjoyed the show.  pretty stress free.  oh and come fall, i've gotta sign up my girl for ballet lessons.  cuz she's a natural.  of course.
